Bo and Win meet at a Halloween party and share an electrifying night, assuming they will never cross paths again. However, they are soon surprised to learn that Win is pregnant.

Choosing to co-parent, Bo is determined to be an active part of both Win’s and their child’s life. As they spend more time together, what starts as a journey of getting to know each other blossoms into a beautiful friendship and, eventually, something more profound.

The story is a slow burn filled with intense pining and angst, but their strong communication, especially during difficult conversations, makes their relationship compelling.

Additionally, the book features a tight-knit group of friends that will undoubtedly resemble The Big Bang Theory friendship group.

Book four in the Chestnut Springs series by Elsie Silver is my favorite and perfect for fall reading. The story is sweet, spicy, and fast-paced, centering on the romance between Winter, a strong yet often misunderstood heroine, and Theo, a reformed playboy with a golden-retriever-like personality. Theo is on my favorite book-boyfriends list. I reread Reckless several times now, mainly because of him.

Winter’s complex family dynamics add depth to the story, and watching her mend relationships with her sister and father was touching and bittersweet. Theo sees through all her defenses, recognizing that her occasional harshness stems from weariness after a failed marriage.

Often labeled an ice queen, Winter’s point of view reveals her vulnerability, making me reflect on how easily we misjudge others without truly understanding them.

Alexis finds herself stranded in the middle of the road at night when Daniel comes to her rescue. He’s immediately drawn to her, and despite being ten years older, she can’t deny her attraction to him either. Hungry, they head to a local diner in a small town, where we’re introduced to a cast of charming townspeople and share in their delightful company.

After helping him win a bet, Alexis goes home with Daniel. Over grilled cheese and some adorable time spent with his pet goat, she spends the night.

What was supposed to be just one night quickly became a habit, with Alexis willingly driving two hours every weekend to spend more time with Daniel.

Abby Jimenez masterfully crafts heartwarming stories that tackle some of life’s most heartbreaking topics, weaving important themes seamlessly into the narrative. Alexis, who comes from a prestigious family of surgeons, faces disappointment from her family for choosing ER medicine despite being an exceptional doctor. Meanwhile, Daniel is the town’s mayor and runs a quaint hotel.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the book is the subtle touch of magic woven into the story. Occasionally, the town seems to come alive, acting on its own in ways that add a perfect touch of whimsy and fall vibes to the narrative.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown is the first book in the “Brown Sisters” trilogy. It follows the story of Chloe Brown, a witty, strong-willed woman with fibromyalgia. She decides to take charge of her life by creating a list of tasks to help her “get a life.” Along with an angsty friends-to-lovers romance plot, it depicts themes such as self-discovery, love, and the challenges of living with a chronic illness.

Chloe Brown has spent years living cautiously because of her chronic illness, fibromyalgia. However, after a near-death experience, she realizes that she’s been holding back too much. Determined to change, she creates a list of daring goals to help her “get a life” and embrace the adventures she’s been avoiding.

To complete her list, Chloe enlists the help of Redford “Red” Morgan. He appears to be the opposite of Chloe—carefree, charming, and ready to take risks. But as they spend more time together, Chloe learns that Red has his struggles. Moreover, the two begin to form a deep connection.

The book is a mix of humor, heart, and romance, emphasizing the importance of understanding, respect, and mutual support in relationships.

Savor It is a powerful story about loss, grief, finding purpose, and letting go of negativity. The narrative follows Sage and Fisher. Sage is a teacher in a small town, content with her life and pets.

In contrast, Fisher, a former Michelin-star-winning chef, has lost his passion for cooking. After being fired, he struggles with grief over his sister’s death while taking on the responsibility of raising his rebellious teenage niece, Indy. Connecting with Indy proves to be a significant challenge for him.

Once deeply in love with his career, Fisher now finds himself at a crossroads. He tries to reignite his passion for cooking while learning to be a guardian to Indy. To reclaim his old job, he moves to a small town in Oregon to create a menu and help set up a new restaurant. However, both Indy and Fisher strongly dislike small towns.
Sage and Fisher are flawed, complex characters facing real-life problems. The story perfectly balances humor and depth, with Sage’s witty banter adding a fun element.

DeWitt’s fast-paced, vividly descriptive writing brings the town of Spunes to life, making it feel real. Her ability to transport readers to this charming setting ensures you will fall in love with the characters and the Oregon landscape.

I read this book in the spring and thought it would be perfect for a Fall Romance Books list.

A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross is a captivating fantasy novel characterized by rich world-building, lyrical prose, and deeply emotional romance.

Set on the island of Cadence, the story unfolds in a land brimming with lore and magic. Music and song can summon spirits, and the winds carry ancient whispers.

The novel focuses on two main characters: Jack Tamerlaine and Adaira. Jack, a bard, returns to his homeland after many years. Meanwhile, Adaira, the clan leader’s daughter, needs Jack’s help to solve a mystery threatening the island.

As they work together, they must navigate complex relationships, uncover hidden secrets, and face the island’s dark magical forces.

Jack and Adaira have a shared history. As children, they were rivals. These early misunderstandings continue into adulthood. Adaira is strong-willed and determined, whereas Jack is more reserved. Their differing natures often lead to clashes.

However, as they collaborate to uncover the truth behind the island’s mysterious events, they start seeing each other in a new light. The tension between them gradually evolves into mutual respect and understanding.
